ATTENTION AGENTS: Looking for a literary representation on the novel.

Author Note. Musical Inspiration: If my character, Amanda Reynolds could sing, this would be her anthem…”Lifeline” by Mandisa.

From the Author’s Desk: Make it Right; Make it Matter is a sentimental tale integrating the movie-likes of “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles”, with “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

Psst…After you read the synopsis. Check out a review of the story by Michelle Randall from Readers’ Favorite.

Can Amanda Reynolds forgive her past so not to jeopardize her future and make her life right again?

Thirty-six-year-old Amanda Reynolds thought she was happily married. She has a sweet, loving, successful husband, Ryan, two beautiful daughters, Emily and Rose, and a perfect, manicured home in a quaint suburb of Chicago.

However, deep inside, Amanda is harboring a secret, a past that no one knows about, with the help of alcohol and crave-producing foods. On one Memorial Day, as she watched a float carrying local Marines home from their tour of duty in Iraq, buried memories come flooding back, memories of being abandoned by her mother, Louise, and witnessing the death of her older brother, Joshua.

This causes Amanda to go on an alcoholic binge after being sober for four years. Her second binge in her ten year marriage. When she awakens later in a hospital and learns she drank herself into a stupor in front of her children, Amanda knows she has to get clean once and for all. She just doesn’t know how to accomplish it.

Amanda decides to leave Chicago and set off on a journey that takes her across the US, from Taos, New Mexico; Nashville, Tennessee; and Mount Pleasant, Iowa; in an attempt to slay the demons that have plagued her for so many years.

MAKE IT RIGHT; MAKE IT MATTER teaches that by loving oneself first, can one truly love others. And, only by forgiveness, could one separate past from future. You may not have control of your past, but you can pave a new future.
