Bring a dynamic author and speaker to your school or library!

“One of the best gifts I receive from doing author visits is the opportunity to promote literacy in schools. Nothing is as grand as the feel of a book in hand. I encourage our youth to delve into a story, get lost, go places, and imagine all the possibilities because tales whether they are tall or short, do just that.”

Chiara delivers a message of compassion and understanding at a time when these qualities are sorely needed in both our country and classrooms. Her book A Tribute to Tulipia, a parable on bullying, provides valuable lessons in compassionate behavior. Chiara’s book is a thoughtful bridge for understanding and applying empathy on a daily basis. Her energy and passion in this field are unbridled and resonate strongly as she shares her insight with kids of all ages.

A PAUSE. Hey teachers, parents, and librarians, take a moment to read a post I wrote about a call to action and the relevance to  “The Breakfast Club”.

And now, back to my story…

I love writing like I love sunsets. My love for reading is a close second; a full moon on a starlit night. Together, my desire in sharing those passions go hand and hand with speaking about the writing journey and process in hopes of garnishing a new generation of bestselling authors or exceptional readers!

Over fourteen years of working in Corporate America as an Instructional Designer and Trainer have prepared me with speaking professionally in front of adults. My years of parenting have prepared me to be silly and wacky. Being an independently published author, I thrive on letting my characters take center stage and follow their journey of growth, redemption, and ultimate maturity in making the right choices in their lives.

I would love to come out to YOUR  school or library to talk to your students/kids on such topics as:

A.  What’s it like to be a published author,

B.  What does it take to write; the general process of most writers,

C.  What process do I use to produce my tales,

D.  A formula to writing (for those mathematically inclined) – How formula and process are unique to each individual writer’s journey to convey a story (what worked for me may not work for others).

E. Musical influences that helped shape the story,

F. Biblical themes and scriptures weaved within the stories

G.  Read an excerpt of one or both of my books: (These books are geared toward children of middle-grade age: 10-13 years. However, I can speak about the writing process to younger children and high schoolers.) Click on the links below to find out more about my books:

Petrella, the Gillian Princess – In a world with chaos and destruction, true love can exist. Love always prevails over evil.

A Tribute to Tulipia – Sometimes you have to stand up for what is right.

G.  If the school/library has purchased one or both of my books, then I can end with an autograph signing.

The visit can be catered to your needs while giving me an opportunity to entertain, educate, and share the joys and disappointments of WRITING! Another option is doing a Skype/Zoom visit if the school is unable to host a live author event.

Click Sample Writing PresentationforWebsite I did for a group of fourth graders.  It was 50-minute presentation/reading for a class size of 17 students. I described the writing process and then discussed the difference between bullying and kindness; concepts identified in my publication,  A Tribute to Tulipia.

Please contact me to discuss a visit to YOUR SCHOOL, or purchase any of my books.
“One of my favorite elementary school experiences as a kid was talks by visiting authors.  I’m so thrilled to be able to pass on that experience to the next generation.”
